The goal of project management is to use knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to help solve issues and b​ring value to people

A project manager gathers data and resources to help establish actionable goals on a timeline and budget

Project managers coordinates with multiple teams and lead weekly meetings on project statuses and addresses any bottle neck issues

Logistic Service Improvement Plan

Situation – ILS acquired a new warehouse employing 50 existing warehouse employees and 50 delivery drivers. The business was purchased for $400K and an extra $100K is set aside to help resolve existing issues.

Issues – the newly acquired business has low customer satisfaction rates, safety problems, wasted resources, disorganized and lost inventories, delayed deliveries, outdated and poorly maintained equipment with high maintenance costs, poor job training, and non-documented processes

Action item – Form a project management team of consultants, advisors, and experts to develop an actionable project charter plan to propose to internal executive team

Pain point – Getting the project kicked off in year 0 and within the allotted budget

Corporate Social Responsibility

Companies now more than ever are focusing heavily on their public image as they know that by having a good image ties closely to a positive and profitable business brand

The goal of ILS is to help build this positive image for their company and pass along this image to its partners like Walmart

ILS can highlight its corporate social responsibility efforts by shifting closer to a carbon neutral delivery approach with electric vehicles and using recycled goods in its packaging
