How will I Speak with and Interact with My Students?

I can inspire the students to be more involved with the lesson by being expressive and using gestures. I will always keep my arms open because an open body angle shows an invitation. By using this body language, I will invade brainstorming and new ideas from the students and draw their attention to me. Lastly, I will ensure a smile because students want to be connected with tutors who are present with them. A simple smile will send a message to my students that I am passionate about learning; this further helps them connect with me.

I will stress quality over quantity to my students; accordingly, I will stress learning over performance. As a teacher, I will enhance and maintain a positive learning environment. I will give precise expectations and a rubric outline before giving an assignment. Students who do quality work in class will be rewarded and recognized with a quality club. I will ensure students participate in individual goal setting aimed at learning outcomes instead of performance outcomes. This will be ensured by constantly revisiting goals and having them monitor their progress toward their goals.
